Northern Community College Woodbridge Campus, in collaboration with the OWL Writers of Southeastern Prince William County, announce the formation of the Second Saturday Writers Guild to provide the college and its surrounding writing community a comfortable environment to connect, network and hone their craft.

Students in the cabinet-making class at Hylton High School and students in an after-school program at Beville Middle School have been working with Prince William County Public Schools to build Little Free Libraries for use in or near schools. Little Free Libraries are small cabinets filled with free books that are placed in public areas in communities in more than 80 countries.

Joyce Phillips, a former chairman of the Prince William Library Board of Trustees and a retired school teacher, was honored recently when the pavilion at Independent Hill Neighborhood Library in Manassas was named the Joyce Phillips Pavilion during the library's 30th anniversary celebration.
