Governor Terry McAuliffe has announced that Perrone Robotics, a developer of autonomous car software, will invest $3.8 million to expand its research and development operation in Albemarle County to add to its test track and facilities.

Governor McAuliffe was quoted as saying, “Virginia is a ‘Top State for Doing Business’ because we focus on building a stronger workforce and healthier business climate, and not on divisive or discriminatory social issues. I’m proud of the success we have had so far making Virginia an even better place to live, work and run a business.”

First Lady Dorothy McAuliffe, accompanied by State Senator Jeremy McPike, served breakfast to Potomac High School students in Woodbridge who stopped to get food between the first and second period of the day Sept. 29 as kickoff to her "Day of Action" campaign to fight child hunger. Every PWCS high school offers this Second Chance Breakfast, which accounts for a part of the 21,000+ breakfasts that are served Divisionwide.

The Virginia School Board Association (VSBA) Sept. 28 honored Governor Terry McAuliffe with the 2017 Legislative Award of Excellence for his tireless advocacy for Virginia public education.

The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) store at 4199-B Winchester Road in Marshall will close on Friday, Sept. 22, for an expansion and remodeling project, according to a news release from Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. It will reopen Nov. 20 at 10 a.m.
