Passenger, under 18, died from injuries sustained in a car crash around 3 a.m. this morning

On Sunday, March 11 at 3:07AM, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Potomac Shores Pkwy and Cherry Hill Rd in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a single vehicle crash. A front seat passenger, identified as a juvenile male, was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

General Assembly conference committee reaches accord on funding for Metro

A bipartisan agreement on HB 1539 to increase funding and implement necessary reforms for Metro has been reached and sent to the governor for his signature, according to Del. Tim Hugo (R-Fairfax) whose district includes part of Prince William County.
