Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced Sept. 26 that Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) will invest $87 million to modernize, and expand its customer support center in Roanoke County. The investment will create about 1,100 new jobs and enhance the working experience for 1,650+ current employees, becoming Roanoke County's largest employer, the news release said.

A scheduled September 23rd visit by Governor Youngkin to Gainesville in Prince William County on his bus ‘The Spirit of America’ has been cancelled due to the Governor’s declaration of a storm emergency, a news release said.

This is an unusual storm, which has been difficult to accurately forecast, approaching large population centers with many at-risk communities. Accordingly, the pre-positioning of response assets and supplies will be necessary to assist our local and state partners. The Virginia Emergency Support Team will activate for this incident.
