DMV will offer copies of death, marriage and divorce certificates; birth records available now

By working with the Virginia Department of Health Division of Vital Records, DMV began issuing copies of Virginia birth certificates in March 2014. This summer, DMV will offer copies of death, marriage and divorce certificates.“More than 72,000 customers requested a copy of a birth certificate at DMV last year," according to a statement by DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb.

Stosch announces retirement from Virginia Senate

Delegate Marshall’s January 6 Town Hall in Haymarket CANCELLED

Delegate Bob Marshall’s Legislative Town Hall has been cancelled tonight because of the closing of all Prince William County schools for the evening of January 6, 2015. The meeting is being rescheduled, and Gainesville Supervisor Pete Candland said he will send out a note as soon as the details have been finalized.

Governor unveils first of 105 new signs welcoming visitors to Virginia

Millions of travelers every year will be welcomed at Dulles Airport with new signage reminding them "that wherever their travel through Dulles is taking them, they are always welcome to explore Virginia and its abundant business opportunities and travel destinations," according to Gov. Terry McAuliffe.
