Virginia War Memorial to lead Commonwealth’s Sept. 11 tribute at 11 a.m.

There is no admission charge. Free parking is available in the Virginia War Memorial surface lot and parking deck at 621 South Belvidere Street, Richmond, VA 23220. The Virginia War Memorial will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for visitation and the documentary film, A New Century, A New War, will be shown all day in the Memorial’s Reynolds Theater.

Volunteers needed to plant Hill of Heroes at Virginia War Memorial in Richmond on June 28

On Saturday, June 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the nonprofit Virginia War Memorial Foundation and corporate sponsor Altria will host the Hill of Heroes Day at The Memorial. This free family event and community celebration will feature military vehicles and demonstrations, crafts and educational activities for kids, and the annual used book sale.

Memorial Day services May 27 at Va. War Memorial and three Va. veterans cemeteries

Memorial Day will again be commemorated at four special ceremonies hosted by the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) on Monday, May 27, 2024. All the events listed are free and the public is encouraged to attend.

2024 Memorial Day ceremony May 24 in Stafford County

The ceremony will take place on Friday, May 24, at 10 a.m. at the Armed Services Memorial, located on the campus of the George L. Gordon, Jr., Government Center, 1300 Courthouse Road, Stafford, VA 22554.
