Groundbreaking held for Potomac Shores VRE station in eastern Prince William County

Prince William Supervisors along with Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, broke ground for a new VRE station at the site for the future Potomac Shores Town Center, on the Cherry Hill Peninsula off US 1 in eastern Prince William County.

Parking lot and road repairs to begin at Manassas National Battlefield Park

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Eastern Federal Lands Highways Division (EFLHD), in cooperation with the National Park Service (NPS), will begin a four-month construction project to repair and resurface park roads and parking areas at Manassas National Battlefield on Monday, July 21, during non rush-hours, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

I-95/395 southbound HOV lanes to open earlier on weekdays starting July 7

On or about Monday, July 7, Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will open the southbound High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes on I-95/395 no later than noon, rather than 1 p.m. The HOV lanes will close to northbound traffic at 10 a.m., instead of 11 a.m., Mondays through Fridays.

Highway Patrols/State Police from SC to NY slate enforcement initiative June 13-15 on US 15

Troopers from each of the six agencies will work together, conducting saturation patrols, sobriety check points and other enforcement initiatives to reduce traffic crashes and combat criminal behavior along this major, non-interstate highway.
