State-wide IT outage fixed

Virginia’s IT provider has fixed an issue that caused a statewide outage Saturday morning, and DMV online transactions are once again available for customers. Service was restored around 1:30 p.m., a news release stated.

VDOT to close Compton Road May 10-11

Virginia Department of Transportation will close Compton Road (Route 658) to through traffic between Old Centreville Road and Mount Olive Road (Route 859) Tuesday, May 10 and Wednesday, May 11 to allow crews to replace a pipe. The closures will occur from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
