The US Transportation Security Agency (TSA) reports that its officers discovered a record breaking 81 firearms this week in carry-on bags around the nation Aug. 12-18. Of the 81 firearms discovered, 70 were loaded and 31 had a round chambered.

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” safe driving campaign begins today, Aug. 19, across Virginia

Prince William County Police have joined law enforcement agencies throughout Virginia as part of the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign and the local Checkpoint Strikeforce campaign. The campaigns start today, Friday, Aug. 19, and continue through Monday, Sept. 5.

Bristow Road (VA 619) to be closed Aug. 16 for train track repairs

Virginia Department of Transportation will be closing Bristow Road (VA 619) to through traffic between VA 28 and Lucasville Road Tuesday, Aug.16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to continue railroad crossing repairs begun on Aug. 13.
