Manassas City Police will host a free VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) etching event Saturday, Oct. 15, in the Home Depot parking lot, 8805 Liberia Avenue, Manassas, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The section of Euclid Avenue between Manassas Drive and Liberia Avenue was once a choke point for traffic during morning and evening commute times, but it just got better. The two-lane stretch has been widened due to cooperation between a local developer and Prince William County government.

Drivers can expect nighttime lane closures on I-66 next week at US 15, weather permitting, for crews to install overhangs on girders for the new southbound US 15 overpass, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Lane closures for milling and paving will continue nightly on portions of Featherstone Road and Blackburn Road from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3 through Thursday, Oct. 6, and from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Drivers can expect delays in the Manassas-Gainesville area and are advised to use alternate routes Sunday, Sept. 25 from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for the following road closures related to the Prince William Half-Marathon:
