Loudoun Drive (Route 615) between Mountain Road (Route 600) and Rolling Ridge Road (Route 1750) will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, from 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17 for culvert replacement, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. This was rescheduled because of Aug. 15 rain.

Fauquier bus routes now posted; bus delays possible first week of school

Bus routes for Fauquier County Public Schools have been posted and are now available on the school division’s website. Parents and students are reminded that they may experience slight delays in school bus arrival times especially on the first day of school and throughout the remainder of the week.

U.S. Foods to expand in Prince William County; expansion to create 100 new jobs over next 5 years

UPDATED - Governor Terry McAuliffe has approved a $350,000 grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund to assist Prince William County with a renovation-expansion of U.S. Foods' distribution facility in the Manassas area. Funding and services to support the company's employee training activities for about 100 new jobs over the next five years will be provided through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program, according to the Governor's Office.

Overturned fuel tanker truck on I-64 westbound in Louisa County leaking fuel

Virginia State Police were still on scene at 8:30 a.m. with an overturned fuel-carrying tractor trailer on I-64 westbound just west of the 147 mile marker in Louisa County. The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m., according to VSP Sgt. Stephan Vick. UPDATE: at 9:36 a.m. - All westbound lanes continue to remain closed and will be for a couple of more hours while cleanup continues.

VDOT to close I-95 ramp to Dale City Friday, Aug. 4 at 10 p.m.

A portion of the ramp from southbound I-95 to Dale Blvd (Route 784) will be closed between 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4 and 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 to pave the realigned ramp, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Parking brake upgrade completed for newer Prince William County school buses

All newer school buses used to transport students in Prince William County Public Schools have been retrofitted with an added interlock device to prevent parking brakes from disengaging accidentally.
