PW Police offer reward for information in Feb. 24 fatality on Minnieville Road

Prince Wiliam County Police Department is offering a reward for information leading to the driver and vehicle sought in connection with the fatal hit & run crash that occurred in the area of Minnieville Rd and Bobcat Ct in Woodbridge (22193) on Feb. 24, 2024. The crash killed a 27-year-old woman from Woodbridge who was struck while walking along the roadway.

U.S. makes third payment on new commuter terminal at Dulles

Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton (D-VA), who represents part of the Prince William County area,reports that Washington Dulles International Airport will receive $35 million in federal funding for construction of a new 14-gate regional and commuter terminal.

Virginia steps up its Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over programs this Holiday Season

From now unti;Jan. 1, 2024, 145 Virginia law enforcement agencies will participate in the holiday wave of Virginia’s Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. Law enforcement officers will conduct 646 individual saturation patrols and 71 sobriety checkpoints across the Commonwealth.

Va. Board of Historic Resources OKs six new historical markers

The Virginia Board of Historic Resources approved six new highway historical markers on Sept. 21, 2023. The markers range from one acknowledging an enslaved man who created a cure for a widespread disease to a popular racehorse named Boston, who is said to have won 40 of 45 races. It takes about six months from approval to erection of the markers. None are in Prince William County.
