Drivers on I-95 and the 95 Express Lanes in southern Prince William County should expect delays and plan to use alternate routes during the morning hours of several weekends beginning Saturday, Sept. 29, for work related to a Dominion Energy transmission line replacement project.

Fatal Crash Investigation *UPDATE – Upon analyzing evidence collected from the scene, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit believe the striking vehicle involved in the fatal hit & run crash that occurred in the area of Sudley Rd near Catharpin Rd in Gainesville around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 22 was a 2005-2010, white, 4-door Chrysler 300 with damage to the front driver’s side of the vehicle.

Following an autopsy completed Sept. 18 on the pedestrian struck and killed in the area of Fraley Blvd near Graham Park Rd in Dumfries on Sept. 18, investigators from Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit now believe the victim may have been struck by two separate vehicles, according to Sgt. Jonathan {Perok, police department spokesman.

Manassas City Police reported their investigation revealed the victim was travelling on Godwin Dr when he suffered a medical emergency causing him to collide with a guardrail at the intersection of Godwin Dr and Sudley Rd. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
