Virginia State Police (VSP) will conduct a focused High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) enforcement on Interstate 66 inside the Beltway Thursday, December 13th, during morning and afternoon rush hour periods, according to a news release from the office of Del. Tim Hugo.

I-66 ramp to Rte. 234 to be closed Dec. 8-9 for water main repair

The ramp from westbound I-66 to northbound Route 234 (Exit 47B) will be closed (weather permitting) from 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 to noon Sunday, Dec. 9 for Prince William County Service Authority water main repairs, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. A detour will be marked.

Amazon to locate half of second headquarters in No. Virginia; state incentive package part of deal

It’s official. Half of Amazon's second headquarters will be coming to Northern Virginia. The company will invest about $2.5 billion and create 25,000 jobs over 12 years, according to a news release from Virginia Business. Over the next 20 years, the state will pay an annual incentive to Amazon based on number of jobs and salary levels, make transportation improvements to ease mobility in the region and invest in technology education from kindergarten through master's degree levels with matching funds from educational institutions.

Victims identified in Nov. 5 Smoketown Rd. crash

Driver and one passenger were killed in a car-bus head on collision Nov. 5 on Smoketown Road. A second passenger is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
