Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles explain some of the new laws including the removal of certain provisions allowing a person’s driving privilege to be suspended or revoked.

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) reports that the agency is continuing to safely reopen customer service centers for specific services by appointment-only. Another four locations will reopen on June 22.

OmniRide announced June 15 that it will resume operating all routes and increase service levels on OmniRide Express buses starting Monday, June 22. Weekday Express service to destinations in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C., will run on a Friday schedule. It all hinges on the improving COVID-19 conditions, and the Governor’s order to begin reopening the state.

PWC Police report one person was arrested and one person being sought in connection with a May 26, 2020 crash reported to have occurred at the intersection of Dumfries Rd. (VA 234) and Bristow Rd. in Manassas (20112).

On May 24 at 5:07AM, investigators with the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Davis Ford Rd near Yates Ford Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate a single vehicle crash.

On Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 2:46AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 18900 block of Highland Park Dr. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a hit and run.

The Board of Commissioners for the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) will not meet on Thursday, April 2, 2020 as originally scheduled. All agenda items are carried forward to the May 7 meeting.

In response to the temporary closure of all Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles customer service centers, suspension of mobile visits, and the extension of some credentials, DMV is extending validity of some credentials and providing additional information to answer common questions the agency is receiving.
