Space missions company to expand satellite manufacturing in Loudoun

Optimum Technologies LLC, which provides space flight hardware design, manufacturing, integration and test, and other space mission systems services and program management, will invest $999,000 to expand its Loudoun County Satellite Manufacturing Facility. The expansion will create 40 new jobs.

Ten traffic fatalities on Va. highways over Labor Day weekend as Va. State Police work 797 crashes

The final summer holiday ended on a somber note, as preliminary data shows that law enforcement investigated ten fatalities over the Labor Day Holiday. Two crashes involved pedestrians. During the statistical counting period, Virginia State Police troopers cited 3,078 drivers for speeding and 1,376 drivers for reckless driving.

Nokesville man dies from injuries in Bristow Rd. crash Aug. 28

The police investigation revealed the driver of a 2021 Toyota Tundra was traveling eastbound on Bristow Rd. when the vehicle crossed over the center line and into the westbound lane of travel--striking a 2003 Lexus GX in a head-on collision. The impact of the crash caused the Lexus to spin off of the roadway and come to a rest in the ditch while the Tundra remained on the roadway.
