Prince William County Service Authority (PWCSA) has announced plans to hold a second open house on the Occoquan Forest water and sewer construction project. The information event will be held on Monday, Jan. 26 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at its Woodbridge headquarters, at 4 County Complex Court, on the county government site off Prince William Parkway.

Solving the overpopulation of deer problem in Prince William County came a step closer to realization Jan. 13 when the county’s board of supervisors made it easier for homeowner associations to eliminate deer with bow and arrow.

Dominion Virginia Power filed an application with the Virginia State Corporation Commission Jan. 20, to build a 20-megawatt solar project on approximately 125 acres of land owned by the company near the Remington Power Station in Fauquier County. Facility would be capable of generating enough electricity at peak capacity to power 5,000 homes and be operational in 2016.

Virginia Department of Transportation is asking drivers to prepare for a day-long storm tomorrow that could make driving hazardous in northern Virginia. Drivers are asked to monitor weather forecasts today, and consider teleworking or delaying travel tomorrow. Drivers are also asked to plan for a longer than normal commute, with snow predicted in the morning and hazardous sleet and freezing rain beginning in the afternoon.
