Brentsville Supervisor Jeanine Lawson reminds western Prince William County residents that the first State Corporation Commission (SCC) Local Hearings for the Dominion power line and substation are this week. "Please consider attending one of the SCC hearings and/or emailing or mailing your comments. We need to make sure our voices are heard." Lawson said.

Almost everyone recognizes the motto of the Boy Scouts of America as, “Be Prepared,” but most people are unaware of its slogan, “Do a Good Turn Daily.” The Scouts of Troop 581 in Gainesville paid forward enough good turns during the Blizzard of 2016 to have fulfilled its slogan for months.

Per the Code of the City of Manassas Park, Sec. 20-12, tenants or homeowners of any property abutting a curbed or paved sidewalk are responsible for clearing their sidewalk within the first eight (8) hours of daylight following a snow/ice storm. Clearing sidewalks shows consideration for your neighbors and your community, a news release stated.
