The Prince William Department of Fire and Rescue and the members of the Fire and Rescue System have begun collecting toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation. This year’s event will run through Dec. 14. New and unwrapped toys can be dropped at any Prince William County, City of Manassas Park or Manassas City fire station.

Sadly, scammers often use natural disasters such as hurricanes to set up fake charities where the money collected is pocketed by the scammer.
