For the seventh year, ERA Blue Diamond Realty on Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge, is preparing for the 2014 holiday season by teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves as a drop off location for the Marine Corps annual Toys for Tots Program.

Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative's group of employee volunteers, NOVEC HELPS, is asking area residents to donate non-perishable food to the Operation Turkey drive to help provide Thanksgiving meals for low-income people in Prince William County.

The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) Office of Charitable and Regulatory Programs announced Aug. 22 it will hold several public meetings to identify and discuss possible amendments to the charitable gaming statute and the charitable gaming regulations.

Three local notables, Didlake, Inc., John O. Gregory and Carol Merchant Kirby will be honored for their leadership in bringing the Hylton Center to Prince William County and the Northern Virginia region in early April.
