The National Weather Service has issued coastal flood warnings from 6:00 p.m. this evening through 8 a.m. Saturday with the possibility of 2 to 4 feet of inundation above ground during high tide in low-lying areas along the tidal Potomac River and its tributaries. Grants awarded to protect and restore Virginia’s portion of the Chesapeake Bay watershed

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the federal-state Chesapeake Bay Program announced Oct. 12 they've received $2.4 million+ in grants for projects to protect and restore Virginia’s portion of the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
