With a second opinion from the Commonwealth's Attorney on his ability to vote, Candland said..."the limitations on my ability to perform as Supervisor have become severely more restrictive."
"According to the opinion of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, I cannot participate in any Comprehensive Plan vote. In addition, it also states that I cannot participate in any vote on any data centers in Prince William County until the PW Digital Gateway rezoning is settled."

On Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 3:03AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Somerset Pointe Apartments located in the 14700 block of Soapstone Dr in Gainesville (20155) to investigate an initial report of an unconscious 20-month-old child.

The Police Department reported it is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those involved in this death.

Fire & Rescue crews arrived to find one adult male and one adult female with burn injuries. Both victims were transported to a regional burn center. The adult female did sustain life-threatening injuries. There was minimal damage to the Bristow home.

On Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 9:19AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Bank of America located at 8501 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20110) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed an unknown man entered the bank and approached a teller where he passed a note demanding money and implying he was armed with a firearm.
