This morning, Monday, Sept. 11, 2023 at about 10:45 a.m., Prince William County fire and rescue units were dispatched to the 12900 block of Orleans Street (Lake Ridge) for a house fire. Crews arrived with smoke and fire showing from the attic in the front of the house.

Roommates’ quarrel in Dumfries Sept. 2 turns deadly

The investigation revealed the victim, a 34-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated inside a vehicle in the Dumfries area. During the encounter, the accused shot the victim multiple times before exiting the vehicle and firing multiple more times towards the victim seated in the driver’s seat.

Woodbridge man, 23, dies in Minnieville Road crash Aug. 30

Police said their investigation revealed the drivers of a 2011 BMW 535, and a 2014 Nissan 370 Z were traveling southbound on Minnieville Rd. at a high rate of speed when the driver of the Nissan attempted an aggressive maneuver to pass a pick-up truck, then lost control of the vehicle and struck the driver’s side area of the BMW. The impact caused both vehicles to leave the roadway.
