The caller reported to police that Linda Sue Greenfield walked away from her home located in the 3400 block of Fort Lyon in Lake Ridge about 8:00 a.m. this morning, May 14. Ms. Greenfield is believed to have left voluntarily and may be in need of assistance which qualifies her as being endangered.

This morning, May 1, Virginia Department of Transportation crews will close the historic Aden Road bridge over Norfolk Southern Railroad. An inspection has revealed further deterioration of the 132-year-old truss, which was already scheduled for a nine-month closure to begin in July as part of an upcoming rehabilitation project.

VDOT is not actively working on the Bi-County Parkway including pursuing the Programmatic Agreement or the environmental approvals from the Federal Highway Administration.’ In effect, this letter presents a significant roadblock to this project that sought to close Rt. 234 and traffic calm Rt. 29 through the Manassas National Battlefield Park, which would have affected hundreds of homeowners and businesses including the historic Sudley Methodist Church, according to Del. Tim Hugo, one of the projects major opponents.
