Saturday trash and recycling collection services held at the Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad station will continue through February 27, 2016 due to the cooperation of the volunteer fire company, according to a Dec. 23 news release from Prince William County Solid Waste Division. Previously it was announced that Dec. 26 would be the final day.

Fire Marshals from the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department assisted by an agent from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) conducted an investigation into the origin and cause of the fire that destroyed two townhouses and damaged two others in the Georgetown South Community on Dec. 16.
