TRAFFIC UPDATE: VDOT closes Rolling Rd. through July 13 at 5 pm to replace stormwater pipe

Rolling Road between Thomas Drive and Glen Court in Manassas will stay closed to through traffic until 5 p.m. Thursday, July 13 for stormwater pipe replacement, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. A detour will be in place.

Virginia horse tests positive for West Nile Virus and is euthanized

Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) July 10 announced the state’s first positive case of West Nile Virus (WNV) in a horse in 2017, according to Elaine Lidholm, VDACS spokesman. It is the first case since August 2015 in Virginia. The horse, a ten-year-old Saddlebred gelding, was from Wythe County and died as a result of the disease

VDOT to briefly close Old Centreville Rd. in Manassas July 11 and July 12 - in wee hours

Intermittent full closures will occur along Old Centreville Road on the bridge over Bull Run in Manassas the nights of Tuesday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 12 between midnight and 4 a.m. each night in order to remove bridge beams, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
