Boeing [NYSE: BA] plans to acquire Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation, a world-class innovator, developer and manufacturer of advanced aerospace platforms under an agreement signed by the companies, according to a news release. Aurora, headquartered at Manassas Airport, specializes in autonomous systems technologies to enable advanced robotic aircraft for future aerospace applications and vehicles.

National Park Service seeking suspects in vandalism of Stonewall Jackson monument at Battlefield

The National Park Service (NPS) is actively working to remove paint that was poured and sprayed on the General Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson monument at Manassas National Battlefield Park. The vandalism happened overnight and was discovered at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4.

PWC high school on-time average graduation rate of 91.8 percent exceeds state average

The percent of Prince William County Public School students graduating on time for the last school year exceeds the Virginia rate. The PWCS on-time graduate rate of 91.8 percent for students who entered high school in the fall of 2013 and graduated in 2017 continued a steady climb from 83.3 percent eight years ago, and again outpaced statewide results.
