Detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Homicide Unit have identified the man killed in the early morning shooting that occurred in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026) on September 24.

Prince William County Demographer Brian Engelmann has announced that workers from the US Census Bureau will be in the field doing some preliminary work through the middle of October. The canvassers need to go out to specific neighborhoods to verify the addresses that can’t be determined by using GIS maps, Engelmann said. “The canvassers will ask a few questions to verify the address and inquire about any additional living quarters on the property for inclusion in the Census process.”
