Fauquier County Public Schools Division Spelling Bee will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at 10 a.m. in the Taylor Middle School auditorium. Registration begins at 9 a.m. (Snow date is Saturday, Feb. 4, same time, same place.)

The public is invited to participate in the second of two scheduled Community Dialogues on public middle school facilities in Fauquier County with a special focus on Taylor and Warrenton Middle Schools. The Community Dialogue will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Fauquier High School cafeteria.

Virginia's Attorney General Mark R. Herring will host a free public screening tonight, Monday, Oct. 3, of "Heroin: The Hardest Hit," in Warrenton at 7 p.m. Described as "a powerful, award-winning new documentary," the film aims to raise awareness of the dangers of heroin and prescription drugs to try to stop the epidemic of fatal overdoses.
