Firefighters douse townhouse fire in Lake Ridge early this morning Nov. 29

A family of five was displaced this morning when fire broke out on the rear deck of a Lake Ridge townhouse on Tatiana Way and extended up into the attic and minimal damage to one adjoining home.

Jan. 26 arts day organized by cancer survivor

Denise Simms, a Lake Ridge preschool special education teacher, is hosting an arts-based fundraiser to celebrate her 15 years as a cancer survivor. The arts sampler event will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 1 to 4:30 p.m., at Old Bridge United Methodist Church. The church is located at 3699 Old Bridge Rd. in Lake Ridge.

Community meetings in Lake Ridge Nov. 19 and Dec. 3 on proposed attendance areas for 19 schools

Proposed attendance boundary changes may impact students now attending 19 schools in eastern Prince William County, including all six elementary schools in Lake Ridge, nine in Woodbridge and four in Dale City. The changes are due to one new school being built and five schools where classroom additions are under construction.
