Medical Examiner rules dead man’s injuries were self-inflicted in Woodbridge incident

On December 30, following an autopsy of the 27-year-old man who died after being was found in the roadway near the intersection of Dale Blvd and the I95 northbound ramp in Woodbridge (22191) on December 28, the injuries to the deceased were determined to be self-inflicted.

Cars stolen while running but unoccupied Nov. 2 lead to arrest in connection with August burglaries

A man, 18, and a juvenile male, 16, have been charged in connection with two August burglaries in Woodbridge. The man was also charged with felony eluding, felony hit & run, misdemeanor hit & run, 2 counts of grand larceny, destruction of property, and driving on a revoked license in connection with two unoccupied vehicles left running.

Charges filed in connection with Oct. 25 motorcycle fatality in Woodbridge

On Nov. 2, Prince William County Police Department investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit filed charges in connection to the fatal crash which occurred in the area of Minnieville Rd and Cheshire Station Plz in Woodbridge on Oct. 25.

PWC winter shelter to open Nov. 1

Prince William Winter Shelter will open at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, and will operate daily between 6:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. until March 31, 2017, to house the homeless through the coming winter nights. The shelter at 14730 Potomac Mills Road, Woodbridge, extends hours when the temperature is below 32 degrees. The shelter, operated by Prince William County Department of Social Services, is on a first-come-first-served basis and has 47 beds.
