Tree planting and tree giveaway Oct. 16 at Bristoe Station

Join KPWB, the Arbor Day Foundation, and AWS InCommunities for a tree planting and tree giveaway 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Volunteers will be planting trees throughout the Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park, while 50 trees will be given to community members on a first come, first serve basis.

Doctor, 26 others arrested in 10-month task force probe into illicit drug operation in Haymarket

In October 2015, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas City-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force, with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Haymarket Police Department, began investigating a group of suspects in Prince William County who were allegedly involved in the import and distribution of high volumes of illicit Xanax pills.

Bristow Road (VA 619) to be closed Aug. 16 for train track repairs

Virginia Department of Transportation will be closing Bristow Road (VA 619) to through traffic between VA 28 and Lucasville Road Tuesday, Aug.16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to continue railroad crossing repairs begun on Aug. 13.

Trenum to hold town meeting Aug. 9; Community send off will follow

Gil Trenum, Prince William County School Board member, will hold a town hall meeting Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. at Marsteller School. Members of the community will hold a "send off" for Trenum after the town hall and the community is invited according to a press release from Supervisor Jeanine Lawson. Trenum has been recalled to active duty and is being deployed to Africa.
