Tree planting and tree giveaway Oct. 16 at Bristoe Station

Join KPWB, the Arbor Day Foundation, and AWS InCommunities for a tree planting and tree giveaway 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Volunteers will be planting trees throughout the Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park, while 50 trees will be given to community members on a first come, first serve basis.

Prince William charities share in Dominion donations for food, health and housing

Dominion Resources announced Nov. 23 that it is providing $1 million in grants through its charitable foundation to help feed, shelter and care for people in need across 12 states this holiday season. The Critical Community Needs grants will be awarded by the Dominion Foundation and several in the Prince William area are to be recipients.
