Family member arrested and charged with aggravated malicious wounding after Friday night shooting

On April 21 at 9:53PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence in the 11100 block of Privates Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived at the home, they located the victim, a 27-year-old man of Manassas, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was flown to an area hospital for treatment.

Neighbors help family escape from Bretton Woods Drive townhouse fire in Manassas

On April 19 at 5:04 p.m. City of Manassas Fire and Rescue units were called to the 8700 block of Bretton Woods Drive in Manassas for a structure fire. Prior to their arrival, neighbors witnessed heavy black smoke coming from upper level bedroom windows with two juveniles yelling for help.
