Woodbridge man, 21, charged with abduction and burglary

The police investigation revealed that the victim, a 21-year-old woman, and a 22-year-old male acquaintance were inside the home when they observed a second acquaintance, identified as the accused, drive into the driveway. The victim locked the doors however, the accused entered her home without permission.

Motorcyclist dies from injuries suffered during May 16 crash near Hornbaker Road

On May 16 at 1:56PM, investigators with the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Hornbaker Rd and Industrial Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a crash involving a motorcycle.

Heavy equipment operator, 19, dies from injuries received May 10 in Manassas construction accident

On May 10 at 9:27AM, investigators with the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 8500 block of Smith Ln. in Manassas (20112) to investigate a single vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that a 2020 Cast Loader 28T, lumber Grapple, was being driven up a ramp onto a trailer.

Sexual Assault *ARREST – On May 11, 2021, the suspect sought in connection to the July 2, 2020 sexual assault that was reported to have occurred in the area of Dumfries Rd. near Bristow Rd. in Manassas (20112) on July 2, 2020, was arrested in Maryland by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

Three county police officers were slightly injured in a Sunday night incident at Manassas Novant UVA Hospital May 9.

Woman out for walk in Manassas electro-shocked by passerby; police looking for suspect

On May 6 at 6:27PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the intersection of University Blvd. and Robertson Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 52-year-old woman, reported to police that while walking in the above area, she was approached by a male passenger who exited from a maroon-colored SUV that stopped nearby. Tthe suspect brandished an electroshock weapon and shocked the victim before getting back into the vehicle and fleeing the area. The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Firing of multiple gunshots in nearby areas of Manassas said to be unrelated

Prince William County Police investigated two cases of shots being fired in the Yorkshire area May 5 & May 6 within 45 minutes of each other. MPO Renee Carr, public information officer, said in police reports that the two incidents were unrelated.
