City of Manassas asks for fire & rescue leads for six fires set Sept. 30

The City of Manassas Fire & Rescue Department is asking the public’s help with any information they may have about a series of six fires set the evening of Se[. 30. These fires were intentionally set in occupied, multifamily dwellings in the areas of 7th Regiment Drive and Barrington Park.

Spill of unknown chemical in Manassas sends 15 to hospital

Prince William Fire and Rescue Crews arrived shortly after a 6:20 AM dispatch for a reported chemical spill in the 7500 block of Notes Drive, Manassas, with several employees reporting difficulty breathing, according to Matt Smolsky, Assistant Chief.

PW Health District to begin giving 3rd doses of Covid-19 vaccines on Wednesday, Aug. 18

Prince William Health District (PWHD) and other vaccine providers across Virginia are now offering third doses of Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to those with moderately to severely weakened immune systems (immunocompromised). PWHD's mobile clinic unit will be at the Prince William Fairgrounds Wednesday evening, Aug. 18 (5-8 p.m.) and again during the same hours on Thursday, Aug. 19.

PWC Fairgoers can get COVID-19 vaccine while at the Fair Aug. 18 & 19

Health workers will be at Prince William Health District's big white Mobile Clinic Unit that will be on-site at the Prince William County Fair this Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 18-19 from 5 to 8 p.m. to give COVID-19 vaccine to fairgoers who walk up with no appointment needed. The MCU will operate weather permitting or until the the vaccine supply runs out. There is no charge for the vaccine.

July 7 home invasion suspects identified by police detectives but remain at-large

Detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit identified the suspects in connection to the home invasion that was reported to have occurred in the Westgate Apartments in the 10100 block of Portsmouth Rd. in Manassas (20109) July 7, according to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer.

Assault reported; man injured; PWC police called

On August 6 at 12:08AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate an assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 7500 block of Wedgewood Dr in Manassas (20109) earlier that evening.
