Flagging will occur along Balls Ford Road in Manassas - Gainesville between Wellington Road and Prince William Parkway (Route 234) Sunday, July 22 from 8 a.m. to noon for repairs to the Norfolk Southern Railroad crossing, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Man taken to local hospital after stabbing in Gainesville; acquaintance charged

Stabbing Investigation – On May 30 at 10:44PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15100 block of Lee Hwy in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 22-year-old man, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated.

Half fares start May 7 on OmniRide commuter buses on I-66

Riders will pay half-fares on OmniRide express buses that travel along the I-66 corridor for the duration of the construction, which is expected to last for four years. The discount applies to Manassas and Gainesville OmniRide express buses serving points in Washington, D.C., the Pentagon, and the Tysons Corner Metro Station.
