PWC firefighters fought fires at two townhouses and one garage in about a 12-hour period June 7-8.

The Area Agency on Aging sponsors the annual event to honor residents who are 55 and older in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park. County Executive Chris Shorter, accompanied by other members of county leadership, helped serve boxed lunches to those in attendance.

"We need resources to help in planning for living out our best life in our senior years, and the Summit is going to provide us with 60 vendors, professionals, counselors and more to give us the information we need to do exactly that," explained Dave Redabaugh, one of the event's coordinators.

Prince William County's Assistant Fire Chief Matt Smolsky reports that units were dispatched to the 4500 block of Lawnvale Drive in Haymarket at 4:01 a.m. today, March 23, for a reported house fire. Crews arrived and upon investigation determined a previously discovered a bathroom ceiling fan fire had ignited material inside a wall.

A VA Claims Session will be held in Haymarket on April 6, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and hosted by the ALL AMERICAN VFW POST 12218 of Haymarket/Gainesville.

The investigation revealed that Fairfax County police contacted Prince William County police after their agency received information from police in Anne Arundel County, MD regarding a citizen residing in Laurel who reported recent suspicious and concerning online postings on Instagram from an individual later identified as the accused. In the postings, vague threats of violence were made, some of which included images of a location later determined to be Park Valley Church in Haymarket.
