Yorkshire woman alleged to have wielded axe against family member

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On March 24 at 4:46AM, officers responded to the Shell service station located at 2600 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. An employee reported to police that an unknown man entered the business, brandishing a handgun and demanding money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the business on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 searched for the suspect who was no located. The investigation continues.
Suspect Description:
Black male of an unknown age, 6’02” with a medium build
Last seen wearing a black mask and all black clothing

Attempted Commercial Burglary – On March 23 at 2:00PM, officers responded to the Self-Storage Plus located at 2505 Caton Hill Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The property manager reported to police that sometime between March 4 and March 11, a lock on a storage unit was tampered. No entry was made into the storage unit and no property was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related – On March 23 at 5:12PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8700 block of Yorkshire Ln in Manassas (20111) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 65-year-old man of Manassas, and the accused, a family member, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed a small axe and attempted to strike the victim. The accused missed and the parties eventually separated. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Charged with attempted malicious wounding

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On March 22 at 7:40PM, an officer responded to a residence located in the 1500 block of Frances Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a disorderly person. When officers arrived, they located the man and determined that he was intoxicated. When officers attempted to detain the accused, he became agitated and bit an officer in the arm. The accused was eventually secured without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
