Woodbridge woman held without bond in case involving assault on a police officer

Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) – On March 12 at 5:40PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1400 block of Oriskany Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a disorderly person. When officers arrived, they made contact with the accused and determined that she was intoxicated. While the accused was being transported to the Adult Detention Center, the accused began to kick the window of the police cruiser. When officers attempted to further restrain the accused, she kicked an officer in the leg. The accused was eventually restrained without further incident and transported to the Adult Detention Center. No injuries were reported.

Shukri Abdullahi AHMED, 34, of 1440 Oriskany Way, Apt 202, in Woodbridge
Charged with assault & battery on a LEO and public intoxication
