Woodbridge woman arrested in connection with Sept. 10 malicious wounding

Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On October 27, officers located Karla Stephanie LOPEZ-CARRERA at her apartment on Daisy Reid Rd in Woodbridge and arrested her without incident. The accused was wanted for her involvement in a domestic related stabbing that occurred at the apartment on September 10.

Charged with malicious wounding, stabbing in the commission of a felony, and domestic assault & battery

Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On September 10 at 9:26PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 4400 block of Daisy Reid Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 29-year-old man, reported to police that he and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a butter knife and cut the victim causing a laceration. The parties eventually separated, and the victim contacted police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Karla Stephanie LOPEZ-CARRERA. Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful.
