Attempted Malicious Wounding – On Friday, April 2, 2021 at 11 p.m. officers responded to a residence located in the 13200 block of Sturbridge Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted stabbing. The victim, a 38-year-old man, reported to police that he and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.
During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife from his pocket and attempted to stab the victim. The victim was able to move out of the way to avoid being stabbed. The accused fled the area on foot. A police K-9 and the Fairfax County police helicopter responded to search the area for the suspect who was not located. No injuries were reported.
Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as, Jamie Ryan QUIRION. On April 3, the accused was located and taken into custody without incident.
