Woodbridge man held without bond, charged with strangulation, domestic assault & battery

Strangulation | Domestic Related – On Friday, May 7 at 8:22PM, officers from Prince William County Police Department responded to the Broadstone At River Oaks Apartments located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 35-year-old woman, and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter,  according to MPO Renee Carr, public information officer, the accused pushed the victim and threatened her with a knife, before grabbing her throat. Eventually the parties separated,
and the police were contacted. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Antwaun D’Angelo BROXTON, was arrested.
