Woodbridge man charged with two counts of assault and battery on LEO

**ARRESTS**

Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) – On April 30 at 2:05AM, officers responded to the 13400 block of Orchard Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate the report of a disorderly person.  When officers arrived, they made contact with a man who they determined to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana.  When the officers attempted to take the man into custody, he resisted and a struggle ensued. During the encounter, the accused struck the officers. The accused was eventually arrested and transported to the Adult Detention Center.  Minor injuries were reported.

Charged with 2 counts of assault & battery on a LEO, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest,  disorderly conduct, and intoxicated in public
