Woodbridge man arrested in connection with Cinnamon street burglary

**UPDATES**

Residential Burglary *ARREST –- On the evening of June 21, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit responded to the 12200 block of Allspice Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate recent complaints by residents about possible suspicious activity in the area, according to Officer Nathan Probus, police department spokesman.

During the course of the investigation, detectives observed several suspicious people in the area and attempted to make contact. When an officer approached, one of the suspects ran but was quickly detained without incident. Further investigation revealed that the suspect, identified as Marcus Jermaine BROWN, was in possession of a stolen firearm which was reported missing from a residence located in the 12200 block of Cinnamon St on June 19. Following the investigation, detectives with the Property Crimes Unit obtained charges against the accused.

Marcus Jermaine BROWN, 26, of 2920 Seminole Rd in Woodbridge
Charged with burglary, grand larceny of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a concealed weapon

Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On June 19 at 5:20PM, officers responded to a residence in the 12200 block of Cinnamon St in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 6:30PM on June 15 and 4:30PM on June 19. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry.  A firearm and money were reported missing.
