Woodbridge man, 49, charged with strangulation in Oct. 16 incident

Strangulation | Domestic Related *ARREST – On Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 the suspect sought in connection with the domestic that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 14200 block of Silverdale Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) on Saturday, Oct. 16, was arrested. The suspect, Daniel James PETERS, was taken into custody without incident.

Strangulation | Domestic Related [Previously Released] – On Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at 6:48PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14200 block of Silverdale Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to
investigate a domestic. The victim, a 32-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the incident, the accused grabbed her neck. Eventually the victim was able to separate from the accused and contacted the police.

The accused fled the area prior to police arrival at the residence. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant for the accused, identified as Daniel PETERS. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
