**INCIDENTS**
Residential Burglary – On July 1st at 7:58PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16600 block of Flotilla Way in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00AM and 3:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked door. An iPad, jewelry, laptop, and two gaming consoles, total value around $4,700, were reported missing. The homeowner was not home at the time of the incident.
Residential Burglary – On July 1st at 11:00AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18300 block of Candice Dr in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary to a vacant home. The property manager reported to police that the burglary occurred between 12:00AM on June 29th and 11:00AM on July 1st. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a rear window which was broken out. No property was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On June 30th at 9:50PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12600 block of Crabtree Falls Dr in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00AM on June 29th and 9:00PM on June 30th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unlocked window. The homeowner’s vehicle was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**
Strangulation | Reckless Endangerment – On June 30th, detectives from the Physical Abuse Unit responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 14300 block of Bellona Rd in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation revealed that on June 29th, the accused was watching his three children when he became upset with one of the children, identified as the victim, a 5 year old girl. During the encounter, the accused picked the victim up by her throat and threw her against the wall. A family member noticed the injuries and reported the incident to Child Protective Services. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Fernando Xavier GARCIA, 32, of the 14300 block of Bellona Rd in Woodbridge
Charged with strangulation and reckless endangerment
