Woman fights off attempted sexual assault by masked man at Nokesville Park

Investigation of Attempted Sexual Assault in Nokesville – On Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024 at 9:37AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Nokesville Community Park at 12560 Aden Rd in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a reported attempted sexual assault.

The investigation revealed the victim, an adult woman, was walking along a trail in the park near Hickerson Ln. when she was approached by a masked man. During the encounter the man attempted to sexually assault the victim. A struggle ensued and the parties eventually separated.

Another park patron located the victim and assisted her in contacting police. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Officers and a police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. At this time, the suspect is only described as a male wearing a mask. It is currently unknown if the victim and suspect were known to one another. The investigation continues.
