If you are interested in having your property certified as a Wildlife Sanctuary….
join the Northern Virginia Bird Alliance (formerly Audubon Society of Northern Virginia) on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. at the Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Information Center (14050 Dawson Beach Rd, Woodbridge, VA 22191).

You will learn what NVBA does, what it takes to become a certified Wildlife Sanctuary, how the NVBA is working with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on maintaining bird-friendly habitat at Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge & Visitor Center, and meet with the people from the Northern Virginia Bird Alliance (NVBA) and Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

This is a free workshop, there is no obligation to sign-up. Just come and learn. Free plants will be given on a first come first serve basis.
