Walker cut with knife in Manassas July 14

Aggravated Assault
At approximately 9:10 p.m. on July 14, 2016, Manassas City Police responded to the 9400 block of Taney Rd for a report of an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, officers observed an adult female with lacerations to her arm.

The reporting party told officers that prior to their arrival, the victim was walking with a second victim, another adult female, in the area of Wellington Rd and Grant Ave when they observed a group of individuals.

As the two passed, some subjects from the group allegedly approached and struck the two victims, assaulting one with a knife. The victims were transported to an area hospital and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. This is an ongoing investigation.
